Dear Persephone,

Please come back
I'm tired of the cold
I'm tired of the snow
I'm tired of this endless winter
And I'm waiting for your return

Dear Persephone,

Do you still hate it there?
Does it still feel like hell to you?
Do you still hate yourself
For being a few pomegranate seeds away
From what you truly wanted?

Dear Persephone,

Do you still ache for the above?
Do you feel like you don't belong?
You no longer belong to the world
But hell is hell, too
So where do you fit in?

Dear Persephone,

Have you forgiven him yet?
Do you think you ever will?
Or do you find yourself watching him
Not knowing whether to hate
Or to love him?

Dear Persephone,

Do you hear me?
I hope you do
I am a creature much like you
In a place I don't belong
I am a creature of the spring

I belong in the spring

Dear Persephone,

I know what it's like to be in hell, too.
I love Greek Mythology so much. And I love Persephone. I could also really use a word with her now...

Focus on her. You do so well in your writing. Give her a form in your heart, and she will answer back.

I had a fun time working in ritual with Persephone and Hades to create a play with their likenesses invoked. She's really a happy personality, and he's ever the charmer. I'll send you a copy, if you like.
